Ah, it's been a long time, without you my blog :p

Yes, the last post was 5 months ago, where have you been? classic excuse, busy with office matter.

 

Anyway, it is weekend already, time to spend it with vacation. This time, I will take you to one of restaurant in Jalan Riau (R.E. Martadinata), Bandung, West Java. Yes, Bandung will always be good place for spend your weekend.

 

Le Marly, according to the name, this restaurant is taste of French culinary. I am not familiar with French culinary, but I took the picture of their menu.

I order "Le Havre", it is like lasagna with white and red sauce, mix with spinach and strawberry milkshake for drink. Lasagna and milkshake? sounds unfamiliar? Strawberry milkshake is my favorite. Whatever the meal, I choose strawberry milkshake for drink. So, this is it!

In my opinion, the dishes is delicious. For this menu, I spent IDR 80.000, worth to the taste. The service in Le Marly restaurant is good, responsive, waiting time is only 10-15 minutes. The ambience of Le Marly is comfortable for long chit-chat with friends, dating, family dinner, also informal business meeting.

Le Marly is located at Jalan Citarum 10, in front of Masjid Istiqomah, near SMAN 20 (high school), can be reach by public transportation (angkot) St.Hall - Sadang Serang.

Lunch and Dinner

If you are visitors of Bandung City, don't ask something like this (to me): where is the best place for lunch/ dinner in Bandung? The answer is: "I don't know" hehehe.

I eat at home before hang out with my friend, so I have a very little info about good place for lunch or dinner. As a good citizen of Bandung (according to ID), I must know everything about it. It was started two weeks ago. Try different place for lunch/ dinner every time I have chances.

Plate For Me, located in Trans Studio Mall food court, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Bandung. Actually, this is my second time went here. The first time was almost two years ago, when I met my wife :p.

The menu dominated with western food, such as pasta and pizza, but don't worry, traditional food also available. I order dory fish with baby potato for meal, and strawberry milkshake for drinks.

I forgot the detail price, it cost approximately IDR 60.000. I love fish and strawberry.

The week after that, I went to other place. It called Tree House, located in Jalan Hasanuddin Bandung, near Borromeus Hospital. The arrangement of the table is suitable for student, large table, including power source, and also there is wi-fi. Several students was doing their homework when I went there. The menu is similar to menu in Plate For Me.

There is a lot of plants, also have playground for children, and unique decoration of it building. One of them is stair that have plates on it.

Once more I order fish from the menu, the sauce is added with more onion than in Plate For Me, and also the fish is larger, cooked until deep inside. Hahaha. I chose ice lemon tea for drinks. All of it cost me IDR 54.000

Many articles said that fish and chicken is less cholesterol and less bad fat than beef. So eat more fish or chicken is allowed :p (excuse for big eaters). In Bandung, place for lunch/ dinner is spread along Jalan Dago, Jalan Progo, and Jalan Riau. Next time maybe I'll try another place.

Say The Love With Flower

Diamonds is one of the many way to say love, that is what commercial break said. Chocolate also represent love, especially in this month, February, that is the high school students said (writer experienced :p). Beside that, there is also phrase in Indonesia: Love, say it with flower!

The major of Bandung City, Ridwan Kamil maybe the person who believe that the love can be represented by flower.

This is the yard of major office in Bandung, it called "Balaikota". Balaikota is now more beautiful with this kind of view. On the weekend, people of Bandung visit the Balaikota not only for sport, but also for selfie and refreshing. Me, personally very happy that Bandung is going back to its nature nickname, Berhiber (Bersih, Hijau, Berbunga - Clean, Green, Flowering).

It is maybe too far to compare it with that famous garden in Netherlands, The Keukenhof, but at least the garden makes the people feel more love, reduce the stress, and even found new spot for take a picture.

In Bandung, there are many others garden that full with flowers, such as Taman Tegalega, Taman Vanda, and Taman Pustaka Bunga. The best part of these garden is they all covered with wi-fi; just take the picture and upload it to social media in a matter of second.

Well, if Ridwan Kamil show the love to Bandung with flower, as people of Bandung, as visitor of Bandung, lets keep Bandung clean.

Bandung Flower City

Bandung flower city. This quote is icon for Bandung. In the contrary, this past 10 years Bandung is not flowering anymore. Bandung famous for its flood, waste, and also bad traffic. The peoples feel their city is not anymore livable.

There was change in late 2013; a lot of thematic park has been built, fast response team for road repair be formed, and the river is now getting cleaner.

The government starts to plant flower in the heart of Bandung. Jalan Kapatihan, which famous for its shopping center, is now free from street sellers. There are more flowers in the pedestrian walk. The traffic is back into two-way traffic.

Now, more people comes to Jalan Kapatihan not only for shopping. People comes for sit, drink, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere of the city. The flowers along the Jalan Kapatihan is beautiful. There is no sign of flower species, but the flowers make the city more colorful.

Hope Bandung will be more livable and lovable city in the future.
