Mpok Siti

Mpok Siti..sounds unfamiliar for the first time. Mpok Siti is a nickname for Jakarta City Tour Bus. It's double-decker, hop on - hop off bus which travel around center of Jakarta. Mpok Siti can be found on the shelter with the special sign.

Mpok Siti has eight shelter along its route. Sarinah, Hotel Indonesia, Museum Nasional, Pencenongan, Pasar Baru, Istiqlal, Monumen Nasional 1, and Museum Nasional 2 respectively. Passengers who already travelled for one lap may disembark to give a chance to another passengers. After that, you can re-enter Mpok Siti. Mpok Siti admission is free.

Mpok Siti is air conditioned bus, limited seat, not allowed to stand-up, eat and drink inside the bus. The interior is quite comfortable (but not for people who 180+ cm tall :p). Mpok Siti has 5 units which go around the route from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and after car free day until 7 p.m. on Sunday. Mpok Siti has a guide on board who will tell the story of historical building/ area in Jakarta.

If you have free time in Jakarta, Mpok Siti is alternative for enjoying it. I suggest you to ride Mpok Siti in the morning, earlier is better. Does not need to book the ticket, just wait on the shelter. It's easy and free.
