Bored with routines? Maybe it is the time for refreshing and breathe fresh air of the mountain. If you live in Jakarta, the nearest highland is Puncak, Bogor. Bogor has many natural spot such as Taman Safari, Kebun Raya Bogor, Kebun Raya Cibodas, Jungle Land and so many more. One of my favorite is Kebun Raya Cibodas. Before went to Cibodas, there is a place that recommended to be visited. Cimory Riverside.

Cimory is located approximately 70 km from Jakarta or 60-90 minutes driving. Of course it depends on traffic. I suggest you to get there as early as possible. Traffic at Ciawi toll gate is very high on weekend.

Cimory is suitable for eating while enjoying beautiful view of river. Beside restaurant, Cimory also sell yoghurt, chocolate, snack, and another local product.

After Cimory, Kebun Raya Cibodas is the next destination. It is approximately 25 km from Cimory Riverside. The admission fee is only IDR 9500.

Kebun Raya Cibodas has a lot of collection, from pteridophyta, cactus, bryophyta, conifera plant, and else.

Kebun Raya Cibodas also have unique collection like pitcher plant. It is one of carnivore plant in the world.

The other ultimate collection of Kebun Raya Cibodas is Amorphopallus or in Bahasa it called "Bunga Bangkai". The plant is spreading the smell of corpse when it blossom. This plant is special from Sumatra. Unfortunately, when I went there, the plant is not yet blossom.
